Productivity is improving in South Africa.
It has moved up to 42nd position in 2001 from 43rd position in 2000
in the worldwide overall productivity ranking.

Looking at Leadership:

Leadership in any specific initiative e.g. Diversity Management Is really only leadership in People Management .. irrespective of disability, gender, religion, age, culture, nationality, population or language group

So, if I feel good and OK about myself then I feel good about my environment and the people in it. Or similarly, mentioned by Linda Human in her book - Affirmative Action and the Development of People -

The link between PEOPLE MANAGEMENT and DIVERSITY MANAGEMENT is,
first and foremost, about managing 'me, in here' and not 'them, out there'.

This then brings us to the belief that Leadership in People Management is effectively developed through Personal Empowerment. Managing ourselves better leads to better understanding, management and leadership of people - related to any specific strategy or initiative.
