Her career in marketing research commenced in advertising at Lindsay Smithers-FCB in 1972. Then in 1974 she joined Barker, McCormac (another advertising agency) as their Market Research Manager and in 1977 joined Market Research Africa as a Research Executive.
In 1980 she joined Rembrandt Tobacco Corporation and set up their
Market Research Department in
Johannesburg.
In October 1981 she formed her own marketing and management research business.
Barbara is well respected in the business and marketing research world as well as the educational establishment where she has been requested to pass on some of her expertise to college students.
Her experience is extensive and includes all spheres of attitude, communication, image and motivational projects with a firm grasp of the politics of and behind business.
Her analytical and interpretative skills provide valuable insights into data and she's able to assess the opportunities behind a problem and the best way these can be used to the benefit of the business.

Marjorie began her career in the insurance and medical field and then moved into retail.
After three very successful and profitable years, she returned to Gauteng due to family commitments.
There she worked in staff training, more particularly in office administration and secretarial skills.
Her family were now young adults and again she went into retail but after 2 years realised that her preference was working with people and their skills development.
In 1997 she joined SPOT THAT Zebra where she is involved in administration and project management and that includes supervision of all personnel involved in each project. |
